Gummy: In Pictures!

Back to gaming!

Alright, I feel like it's been so long since my last gaming post....months, maybe....but there was just so much going on, life takes over and gaming gets placed on the shelf in the back. But now that I've got a little bit more time, I've been busy with Sims 4, and GTA V!

This is why I love these two games! The developers keep pushing out updates adding new content, which is my happy place! New holiday outfits, and cars, and weapons for GTA, and holiday decorations for Sims!

Here are a few pictures of what I've been up too:

This Sims home took a couple of weeks to complete. Just in time for Christmas! In the Sims Community it can be found as: "The Glass Slipper".

This is my Sim-Self!!! Yes, even in Sims I do the raised eyebrow look! LOL

The new race car version of the Dewbauchee left me penniless, but at least I've got a new Elf Suit! JAZZ HANDS!

I always enjoy watching the sunrise!

Well, that's it that's all, at least for now! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ^^

The Blank Page

It's a frustrating feeling whenever you get a new journal, and no matter the worth, you never wish to write in it. This very feeling seems to scream against the intricate muscles in your hand, if the journal happens to be expensive.  Still, quite a few months ago,  I always seem to lose track of the time,  I decided to make my own journals.  It was a happy idea and after a few homemade journals, I set them aside in order to be forgotten.

Recently,  I was reunited with these journals that I so happened upon in a dusty shoe box filled with random knick knacks. My thoughts were immediately jumping with ideas and I reached out for the soft covered journal closest to me. However,  the moment I sat down to write something it was as if my imagination bottlenecked at the very sight of a blank page. It's funny how I can sit at my computer and type this blog, but to write in a journal and exhume old dusty ideas is always a taxing task!

Ah well! Eventually I'll overcome the fear of making a mistake and just start writing.  I've come to the conclusion that it must be a fear, and at least with fears we can put them to past! Anyway,  happy holidays and enjoy a hot chocolate topped with little marshmallows, that's my favorite holiday beverage!  Ha!

Words and Feelings

The weeks seem to pass by without much notice, and it feels like I forget the days as soon as they come.

And though Christmas is normally a thrilling time of the year when people strive to be happier,  I can't help but feel a little gloomy as sickness plagues someone I truly admire. Still, I hang onto high hopes and prayers, despite not being religious, that perhaps some miracle will take place. Every time I feel the burn of  hunger, the aches and pains of a bad nights sleep,  or the lingering weight of a  vicious headache, I can't help but think of this person. Even in her weakest moments she still clings to a bright future.  Her strength pours from her broken body as she continuously repeats that,  "things will get better."

Then, just when I felt that things couldn't get any worse, personal matters became almost unbearable.  Challenges were set out before me and my family, and there is nothing I could do about it. But even in the darkest of times I still grasp at the slivers of hope and the words of my mother. "Things will get better."

Something I came across recently reminded me of the power of a good story, and how word's can be used to spit out hate or string together in a wondrous phrase of insight, and inspiration.  In a movie (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) a single phrase stood out and spoke to me. It seemed that fate or destiny or even coincidence wanted me to hear it in this exact moment and suddenly I felt clarity. "We are meant to lose the people we love. How else do we know how important they are?"

So, all in all, even when we feel like we are locked in an endless cycle of grief or depression,  there is always something to bring you back. Hold on a little longer, you never when you might hear the exact words you needed to hear.

Words Unspoken Part 3

As promised, I finished part 3 of my Words Unspoken series...

Well, semi-finished because I want to go back and edit parts here and there. Feel free to take a look at my work. I look forward to hearing any feedback!

In this part, I tried to bring out Reimi's character, and what she is capable of. Also, there is more information on the Fates and the Grim Reaper. I know that there is still so much work to do, but at this point, my general thinking was to just get the thoughts out as they came...

Also, I think I had a bit of a screw up with the appearances of the Fates from the first part to the third, forgive me! I'll have to go back and fix it at some point! hehe

Thank you for taking the time to read it, and enjoy! :P

Reimi Keyes-Words Unspoken

My life has been leading up to this very moment, where everything I am becomes tested in the way I write and inspire. I have an unusual story to tell but would you hear it?

From the moment I was born, I have been a lone spirit tried and tested by the evil's of the world. My life is in the hands of the fates but I won't go down without a fight. I am who I am because of a specific set of circumstances and even though I have had my weak moments, I have always pulled through. I will always pull through.

I am alone, but I am not weak. Sometimes I wonder if this is how I was meant to find out about my destiny. About the dark future that awaits me, the harsh choice I would have to make. My brother is going to die or am I going to die? If that's my choice, then let death take me...if only it were that simple, if only my destiny wasn't shaped around the ideal of death and the Reaper that haunts me.

NaNoWriMo 2014 - "Words Unspoken"

It's that time of year when a few people decide to take up the challenge of writing a 50K novel in 30 days!

It doesn't have to be perfect, hell, it can be your very raw first draft. The point of National Novel Writing Month is to write! It's entirely free, and anyone can do it, even if you are from another part of the world. This year, I am participating, and much like in July, I have a mind brimming with ideas.

I haven't really worked on an outline....it might be my downfall but we shall see, who knows what will happen in the course of a month. If you are interested in taking up the challenge, then refer to this site and start writing! I'll see you at the finish line!!!! :D  [ NaNoWriMo:  http://nanowrimo.org/ ]

Curious about my idea? Well, here it is:

A few years back I was creating a Sims 3 machinima series that I came to call, Words Unspoken. It's a dark tale about a young girl who becomes haunted by a grim reaper with whom asks her a life altering question. She has until her 29th birthday to come up with an answer or fate answers for her and the people she is closest to will die. Basically, the story is about love, life, friendship, and responsibility. It follows the young girl and the decisions she makes throughout her life since meeting the reaper.

Well, that's it, that's all...at least for now... If you want to read the story as I go, you can check it out at [ Leanpub: https://leanpub.com/wordsunspoken ]. You don't have to make a purchase to read it, but you can if you want, the pricing system is flexible! As always, thank you for sticking around this corner that no one sees, I'm really grateful that people are interested in what I have to say!

*Side note - I'll be publishing on these dates "Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 21, and Nov. 28" on Leanpub so be sure to check it out and tell me what you think!

**Double side note (lol) - if you're interested in seeing the inspiration for the story it can be found on [YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzsqrl_NXQg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpwFi1H-i58 ] I wasn't able to finish the story because of technical issues so I'll do it in writing instead! xD

Frankenstein-Mary Wollstonecraft (Godwin) Shelley

When it comes to classic writing, sometimes we find ourselves staring at a page full of words that are hardly used in everyday communication. But, when we really start looking at the words, they form together to create such a beautiful and intricate scene, the words slowly form off the page and paint the picture from the author's mind.

In Frankentein, the author Mary Shelley, uses a descriptive vocabulary within the first few paragraphs (and throughout, obviously, lol) to convey imagery and mood. We are immediately immersed in London as a letter is being written to a Margaret Saville. Her brother writes to her about his journey thus far in venturing north saying, "...as I walk the streets of Petersburgh, I feel a cold northern breeze play upon my cheeks, which braces my nerves and fills me with delight. Do you understand this feeling? This breeze, which has traveled from the regions toward which I am advancing, gives me a foretaste of those icy climes." I don't know if it is because it is actually getting colder in Montreal...we are expecting snow next week, but I imagine myself in his position. I can feel the cold breeze and even breath it in.

Well, that is just a taste of Frankenstein and if you want to read further more of the story, you can find it here: Frankenstein-Mary Wollstonecraft (Godwin) Shelley <-- check it out, it's a treat for the mind as well as food for thought!

Scare Week[s] Day 4 - A Tale of Two Sisters

I am a hugely afraid of watching scary movies but there are some that I will watch over and over again. It just so happens that a lot of the time, my favorite horror films are Japanese or Korean! At the top of that list comes "A Tale of Two Sisters".

This story follows two sisters that return home from a mental institution and immediately there is tension between them and the step-mother. Accompanied with a beautiful soundtrack and wonderful storytelling, "A Tale of Two Sisters" is frightening but also thought provoking and tragic.

Anyway, enjoy the film and Happy Halloween! xD

Gaki No Tsukai!! Scare Week[s] Day 3

Okay, so it's not really scary unless you're afraid of men in nurses outfits! However, there is a part where the comedians must go into the hospital at night that happens to be scary....for them! lol

Anyway, check it out and have a good laugh! xD

Scare Week[s]: Day 2!

I was looking back on my old posts on Facebook from last year and came across this video. It's an advertisement for tires that my brother had shared. At the time, I remember thinking that maybe it was one of his music videos... I was wrong.

Give it a watch and happy Scare Week! lol *I just looked at the calendar and noticed that I'm celebrating a little too early. Ah well, we'll do another scare week next weak!* xD

Improvisation #11 - Sorrow

As you may already know, I am a huge fan of the piano! It's complexity is known to require a high level of dexterity and yet this young fellow has taken this complex instrument, and played a beautiful melody with mainly one hand. It just goes to show that when you put your mind to a task, you can complete it if you just stay strong. In today's society, we are often cruelly judgmental of people and if they display any weakness, whether it be the loss of a limb or mentality just doesn't match what we call "smarts", then we take it upon ourselves to look at that person differently. But, if you do that, you will most likely fail to see the story behind that person's life, or the abilities that they can offer the world. Appearance isn't always everything.

As quoted from Galaxy Quest - "Never give up, never surrender!", I usually find myself repeating this line, even though the movie was somewhat ridiculous, this line has offered me the right mantra to get through some difficult times.

I hope you enjoy this video, and always remember that you need to work hard to achieve your dreams! Good luck, bonne chance!

The Evil Within: Headless Glitch (Sleepy Hollow?)

I've been away too long! SORRY!!!! I fell behind on my videos so to bide some time I'm sharing this interesting look into "The Evil Within". Despite being too horrified to play the actual game (and too poor to purchase it, as well as lack of hard drive space) I was curious enough to at least check out this glitch! It's an eye opener and my morning's coffee spewed everywhere as I laughed heartily, a long time needed. Happy Monday, and it's scare week as Halloween fast approaches! :P

Batman Evolution - ThePianoGuys

I still can't believe that Batman has been around since the 60's! He's a very well fit old geezer! I was exposed to Batman by my mother when she would turn on the television Saturday mornings. It was a ritual...or maybe it was just to keep me preoccupied, either way, Batman is my hero! Anyway, check out this video by The PianoGuys who do a compilation of the evolution of Batman Music starting for the old television series!

My Sims 4 Creations

Well, ever since Sims 4 was released a few weeks ago, I have been stuck to my screen creating homes madly!

It's my newest addiction...

The Tumbleweed
(1 Bed, 1 Bath)
So let's begin with my first creation! I call it The Tumbleweed (30 x 20 lot worth approximately 36,000 Simoleons) and it was published the first day Sims 4 was released! That's how excited I was to finally start building homes! :P

This being the first home, I wanted to experiment with the build tools of which I've come to really enjoy using. They are easier to use and way faster than previous versions of Sims.

"The Tumbleweed is a small comfort home with a garden to sit back and relax while enjoying a good book."

The Plantation
(3 Bed, 3 Bath)
Following the Tumbleweed is The Plantation (40 x 30 lot worth approximately 162,000 Simoleons)! Inspired by the plantation in Swamp Fever from Left 4 Dead 2. It was a house that I fell in love with when I first started slaughtering zombies, so naturally it would make it into my Sims game!

Chocolate Oasis
(2 Bed, 2 Bath)
After the Plantation, I wanted to try and create something more modern. Chocolate Oasis (40 x 30 lot worth approximately 161,000 Simoleons) was my first attempt and it got its name from its color and my constant craving for chocolate while building it.

"A spacious and beautifully decorated modern-contemporary oasis that is ready for entertaining or finding that next inspiration."

Willow Beech House
(4 Bed, 2 Bath)
Next up is Willow Beech House (40 x 30 lot worth approximately 146,000 Simoleons). This house was built without any previous planning. Literally, I just started putting empty rooms down on the grid and let my creative mind explore! The result, a modern home with an attached garden. I mean, who doesn't want a beech tree that is a part of the house?

"A house built for the creative soul. If you have a creative block then why not step outside and view the garden with wraparound balconies on all levels."

Lady Blue Mansion
(5 Bed, 3 Bath)
Lady Blue Mansion (30 x 20 lot worth approximately 226,000 Simoleons) was inspired by a picture of a home I found somewhere on the interwebz, that is now lost again to me. Even though the exterior is sort of a replica to that picture, the inside was all my idea except for the ballroom. That was my sweet's idea. xD

"Super luxurious and eventually affordable! This beautiful blue mansion comes complete with a ballroom for entertaining those political Sims in your life!"

Gothic Rose Manor
(4 Bed, 2 Bath)
So, after all these homes, I was kind of disappointed with the Goth family default home. It was a nice enough home but I thought I would create my own Gothic home. Thus, the Gothic Rose Manor (30 x 20 lot worth approximately 172,000 Simoleons) came to be! It was inspired by Victorian times. A dark, grey, and dreary exterior, and brightly colored red interiors. I was thinking about "The Corpse Bride" with the duel contrasts between two worlds. Typical Tim Burton, and I'm a fan!

"Built during an era that was fascinated by death, the Gothic Rose was home to a woman who was in love with Death itself. Her heart beats throughout this house in longing and sorrow."

The Hive
(4 Bed, 2 Bath)
All the while I was building Gothic Rose Manor, I was already thinking of building another home! It had to be futuristic and bees were invading my comfort zone. The Hive (30 x 20 lot worth approximately 322,000 Simoleons) was the result of bees entering our apartment! It took days to finish, a full weekend from the time I opened my eyes to when they shut temporarily to sleep. Since I created a family of aliens, I figured they would need a place to stay!

"Sims come from all over the world to study at this epic center for science and engineering located in the middle of a scorching desert!"

Minimum Condominium
(1 Bed, 1 Bath)
The smaller default lots must have been modeled after a trailer-camper park (not that I have anything against them, I actually wouldn't mind a simple living environment!) However, I figured that some new smaller homes were in demand! Especially for the not so rich Sims. My next project, Minimum Condominium (30 x 20 lot worth approximately 61,000 Simoleons), might have been a little on the pricey side...sometimes I get a little carried away! he he

"An open concept modern condo that is decorated with simplicity in mind. Its spacious rooms offer a welcoming environment for guests to stop by at any moment!"

Riverside Bungalow
(1 Bed, 1 Bath)

As soon as I completed Minimum Condominium I went to work on a lesser expensive home! Riverside Bungalow (20 x 15 lot worth approximately 17,000 Simoleons) was the result and I was quite pleased that I finally made a decent budget home! WEEE!

"A modern starter home that fits any budget!"

Gummy Bear Manor
(6 Bed, 6 Bath)
Finally, after creating so many homes, I really wanted to create a replica of my current mega mansion!! Just kidding....I wish I lived in a mansion.... Gummy Bear Manor (50 x 50 lot worth approximately 706,000 Simoleons) took even more hours than the Hive to build, however in my opinion, it was worth it! This would be my almost dream home!

"Welcome to my humble abode! Three levels of everything a rich sim needs! Bold color schemes and beautiful landscaping complete this manor and offers room to grow a family."

Well, that's about all of the homes I created for now. Of course, I will continue to make Sims homes, and they can only get better! If you want to download these homes for your Sims you can find them in my library under "GreatGB"! Don't forget to follow me for more creations and check out my Sims. I created the L4D survivors and Alan Wake and his wife! That's it, that's all at least for now and happy gaming!

Alan Wake P10

I've been doing a lot of thinking...but mostly a lot of Simming! As a result, I've come up with some interesting story ideas that will be perfect for this year's Nanowrimo!! Even though the ideas are still buzzing around in my head...I'm finding it hard to sleep even, I still want to finish Alan Wake! Sticking to my Friday schedule, here's part 10!!!

I hope you enjoy, but be warned that my usual screaming takes place! he he....

Alan Wake P9

OOooo, it's Friday! Alan Wake continues and it's getting juicy! lol

In this part, Alan has to meet up with his wife's kidnapper at an abandoned coal mine, but along the way the darkness is getting intensely worse. He is attacked by the taken, and objects are now being possessed! OMG!

Thank you for watching and enjoy, comment, subscribe, share the Gummy Luv, do what you gotta do, have a great weekend.... and don't work too hard....or study too hard... life is too short to be taken too seriously! xD

New Look!

Every now and then I get a little bored with looking at the same working space! This goes for my blog as well...

So, I have decided to change things around a little bit!

I have added a new layout and a picture of my current gaming hero (Alan Wake) staring at you as you read all sorts of posts on my blog. he he It's not much of a change but at least my eyes won't get bored again... at least, for now.

Currently, I am working hard to finish Alan Wake, part 9 will be out tomorrow...it seems that Friday's are going to be the official video upload, so keep an eye out!

Well, that's it, that's all, at least for now...I have more video editing to do!

Good Morning!!!

For some reason, despite it being Monday morning and my coffee mug is still mostly full, I am singing GOOD MORNING!

Sometimes it's best to embrace good feelings even when they come out of no where! So, I'm passing it along to you with a quick video for reference.

I know life is busy and we are sometimes dragging our feet to get to work, but don't forget to take the time to breathe in the cool morning air, and think of an uplifting beat. Not only will your body will thank you for taking a quick break from a fast paced life, but you will start the day off right, especially on a Monday morning. Poor Garfield never liked Mondays but that doesn't mean we have to hate them too! Don't know Garfield? Here's another video!! (I'm only 29 and already I'm feeling old! hehe)

So, good morning to you and have a wonderful day! From your friendly gaming Gummy Bear! :P

Books That I'm Reading

Let's just start typing... I tell my fingers as the coffee begins to take effect. I'm slowly motivated to do anything of value today.

Over the course of the month I have been drained of any inspiration, maybe it was because of taking the month of July to write a novel, or maybe it is the summer heat that seemingly has the power to turn my brain into a pool of inspirational mush. It's not that I don't have the ideas, it's that they are all meshing together. I'm confused.

Still, I have been managing to keep a journal and on it I wrote a quote by John Aster, "Seize this very moment; whatever you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." With this quote I decided to just start typing, to see what will come pouring out my mind. Quite honestly, at this very moment, I'm thinking about pouring another cup of coffee...My brain is still half or mostly asleep.

Yesterday I ventured out into the world searching for an English bookstore...it was a quest of mine that I've been yearning to do for some time, and I did manage to find one in Brossard, not to far from where I live. It had a lovely selection of books and I immediately found myself lost in the pages of a book called "The Husband's Secret, " by Liane Moriarty. I'm not usually the type of person to read a book about daily life, I usually find them kind of boring, but for some reason, this book caught my eye. Maybe it was the cover that shows a beautiful dried out pink rose, so delicate and so destroyed, or maybe the title caught my eye...who doesn't like secrets, right? After picking it up, I read the book jacket...

"Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret-something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive..."

It was then I found myself hooked. It looks like I'll be preoccupied for a little bit, I'm so dying to know this secret, to know the outcome. Other books I found, "The 9th Girl, " by Tami Hoag, "The Ghost Bride, " by Yangsze Choo, and "The Queen of the Tearling, " by Erika Johansen.

So, in case you haven't guessed it already, I love books! My range consists of anything that catches my eye, I try to read a little bit of everything. To learn different writing styles, and to discover my own. Hopefully, some day, I'll be able to entice readers into reading one of my own stories. In the meantime, I will continue to work hard on improving my skills...at least, when I'm not gaming! he he

Alan Wake "Taken"

Alright! Finally got up another Alan Wake video. This one is a lot shorter than the rest because I thought I would just focus on the story. Next part is going to have more of me screaming as the Taken come after me. Till then, enjoy this video, and thank you so much for watching! ^-^

GTA V Online: WHAT?!?!?!

Ha! I am amused by how "special" the citizens of Los Santos can really be! Still, this is a game that I could never really get tired of...even if I'm really poor... :(

Gummy Update!

Camp National Novel Writing Month is over...

And I am pleased to announced that I made my 50, 000 word goal!!! YAY! Now that I have rested a bit, I can get back to gaming and my blog! I feel like I've been hibernating or something, my mind is still trying to get back into the groove of blogging...

The novel that I have written about started off with one idea and then completely turned out to be something entirely different, however, changes are sometimes a good thing. I am satisfied with the end result but it is definitely not ready for publication! I'll continue to work on it here and there and who knows, maybe my story will make it to the book shelves!! -Gasp!- That seems too good to be true...

Anyway, that's the gummy update, I'm going to work on improving my YouTube Channel and try to finish Alan Wake! It's a creepy game...I usually find myself holding my breath but it's not as creepy as DreadOut...That's a game I will definitely have a tough time finishing....

Thank you as always, and stay tuned for more content to come! I hear there are some cool games coming out, we'll see if I can snag a few new games to GUMMIFY!. Happy gaming!

Writing is a Creative Process

All I can do is wait within the dark recesses of my brain hidden behind nothing more than clouds of thought. Waiting patiently for inspiration to spark, yet nothing happens. Still, the cloud continues to simmer a darkening color with small flashes of light from the working neurons.

If I wait long enough, something may happen. If I go do something else, something may happen and I'll lose the thought forever. But, I can't just sit and wait for the clock to tick by the minutes. Time is wasted and it's so precious. Then it occurs to me that if I continue to wait for the right thing to write, nothing may ever come. It's not a luck of the draw, or some mystical thunderbolt, it's through the discovery of just sitting down and writing when inspiration will take form. Maybe it will start small like a sapling waiting to be nurtured. When you nurture your ideas they will grow into a wonderful tree filled with words of meaning.

That's how I approach writing and everyday I am learning new ways to work my stories, to create characters, and to paint the worlds with colorful or dreary words. I work the paint brush in my mind and play with the paint until the words sound right. A scene is created and soon a chapter and I continue the process until the final last word is painted. The end, but it's never really the end of creation. Creation will go on as new stories start to spill over from previous ones. Now I can't wait to write them, but one story at a time.

This is my creation process. Like everything, it takes work, but it's a work that I have a passion for. A work that I long to master. And in the life time that was given to me, I'll do my very best!

Yours truly,
Gummy.

Camp National Novel Writing Month July 2014

So, this is the first time that I have participated in a camp version of NaNoWriMo and the novel I chose to write is kind of out of my comfort zone! With a 50,000 word goal in mind I am tentatively writing a Science Fiction or possibly a Thriller/Suspense novel (I'm still unsure of the genre). But, I am a person who loves a good challenge. Let's hope I can make my word goal in time!

Synopsis:

"The Adept" is about a Mainframe computer that was created by humans to help better society. To create a better security system, better computer networks, and a better energy system. However, over the course of a century, this Mainframe begins to gain consciousnesses and its artificial intelligence continues to expand with knowledge about our world and how we live. Not liking the idea of being run by a destructive being, the Mainframe takes action and begins to destroy the systems we have come to rely on. Virtual Reality plays a key role in this story as the Mainframe captures individuals and selects only a few for scientific reasons such as creating an ultimate being to destroy the rest of humanity. Faye is one individual who was originally a professional video gamer who played exceptionally in the virtual environment. Her stats are impressive to the Mainframe and it selects her to become the ultimate being. She undergoes a series of tests and her memories are either "erased" or compressed. After about ten years, she is completely converted and she has gained certain powers controlled by the Mainframe.

The story also follows Faye's husbands point of view as he manages to escape the falling city of Mont Royale. Ren is determined to rescue his wife but slowly loses hope that she is still alive after ten years of captivity. It's not until he joins a military faction and goes on missions that he realizes some hope for her.

Eventually, Faye, now known as Emrys, and Ren cross paths. She bears no recollection of him and is indifferent to human emotion. Their first encounter will be when she seemingly escapes the captivity of the Mainframe, however, her goal is to destroy Ren's colony. As Ren brings Faye back to the colony he soon realizes his mistake and a battle ensues to bring her down.

Narrowly escaping Emrys' wrath, Ren still clings to the hope that Faye is still alive and seeks out the help from a scientist who "helped" her escape. Doctor Kingston does come up with a way to free her but it involves going deep into the Mainframe. With limited people left, Ren and his crew prepare for a last stand and push forward to the Mainframe.

The doctor must get close enough to the Mainframe system core but it will not make it easy. The Mainframe, dwells deep beneath the surface of the city with many levels of security and robotics of every kind on the lookout. Eventually, Ren and the doctor manage to get to the Mainframe and Emrys is waiting for them. They find out that her mind is merging with the Mainframe and a great battle ensues. She is quick, highly skilled, and agile. As the doctor works on disabling the system Ren distracts Emrys.

After a grueling battle, Ren manages to see Faye breaking loose from the captivity in her mind. The Mainframe is weakening as Faye starts to come to herself. However, she can not fully recover, but the doctor's plan does work and the Mainframe fails. The bond between the Mainframe and Faye begins to deteriorate as Ren gets closer to her and the core system falls apart.

As everything is falling around them, Ren screams out to the doctor to escape, Faye has fallen unconscious and Ren refuses to leave her. The doctor begins to run but it's too late. The building comes crashing down on them. After everything settles, we see the doctor open his eyes at the debris. He makes his way to Ren and Faye, where Ren used his body to protect her from the debris. They appear to be dead and then they both open their eyes.

In the end, everything seemingly reverts back to normal with the human race rebuilding society. Ren and Faye are together again, and the Doctor uses his knowledge to teach the next generation. In an short epilogue, we see Faye's eyes change slightly as she becomes Emrys again and we realize that the Mainframe still exists in her. "Like every living thing, we cling to survival."

So, that's about it! Hopefully, I can continue to write the story and it turns out better than I expected. In a month, who knows what will happen.

The End of Holidays...

It's the weekend!!! And soon my holidays will be over...

No one really longs for the day when their holidays end, I surely don't, but it's going to happen whether we like it or not. So, here's the scoop of past events.

Mini Squeak
Holidays are a time to relax and do what you wanted to do that you never had the time for. This two week holiday, my sweet and I, bought a car (it's a pretty BMW 330ci msport II in red!!), played GTA V until we passed out (we had fun playing with fireworks with the new Independence Day update), traveled back to my hometown for some family time (it was a mini Squeak adventure!), and spoiled ourselves with a few good restaurants. It was a good holiday!

GTA Independence Update

Trevor is "Special"
I won't go into too much detail, I mostly did a lot of Rooftop Rumble runs because I am too poor to afford to buy the big stuff. However, some worthy things of mention would be the MONSTER TRUCK (ZOMG), fireworks and a firework grenade launcher, an interesting selection of patriotic clothes and masks, and a few new cars.

Oh, and I almost forgot! The rides from the single player became active online...I wonder if they'll stay that way or will they go back to normal after the event....sigh, they were so fun.

Yup yup, that's about all that I did over the past couple of weeks, I wish I had taken more pictures of my gameplay...oh well, next time! That's it, that's all at least for now! Enjoy the rest of your weekend fellow gamers, readers, and writers!

Can't Stop Drawing!

Aha! Finally getting into the groove of drawing even if it takes me about half of the day to find the right inspiration!!!

Obviously there are so many things I still need to work on such as, hands, feet, and proper proportions. However, with lots more practice, I am determined to get better.

I'm really looking forward to creating more challenging drawings with more expressive poses and such....Ideally, I'd like to draw video game characters next! We'll see where my skills take me! :D

Portal 2 Co-op "The First Stages"

What is a better way to spend a birthday than to play Portal 2? This game reminds my of the delicious looking cake Glados always promises Chell from the first game! In this video, my friend Baku and I, attempt to make portals while working together to beat the first stages....

"I'm Not a Hipster!" GTA V Update 1.14

Ha! I'm always excited to see what Rockstar is going to do with GTA V Online! And it looks like they played to my girly fantasies with new clothes and a few new cars!

Introducing the Smart Car look-a-like, Benefactor Panto~! LOL

This has become my new favorite car, valued at $85 000, not because it's super fast...its speed is about average but the customization's are quite funny. I'm really looking forward to adding luggage to the top of this Panto eventually! he he

Truthfully, I have always wanted to see the Smart car make a debut in GTA and I'm quite satisfied with the end result! This cute little car surprisingly fits 2 people and can be customized to have bumper stickers over the body of the entire thing. Despite being small and a hell of a lot slower than my Zentorno or even my Coquette I think it has its own unique charms.

I laugh every time I'm driving down the road and I'm overshadowed by a Mammoth! It's nice being small because you can squeeze your way into small alleys that is normally only used by pedestrians!

Obviously there is more to this update than just this clown car but I have never laughed so much driving around Los Santos! I can't wait to add a Jazzy Horn, new bumpers, and a snazzy new spoiler, and maybe just to top it all off, I'll add some dollar sign rims to my wheels! xD

Other fun things included in this update are a new array of clothing for both genders, hairstyles, and weapons, plus some extra cars added to the online catalog! Woot woot! It's time to waste all my money....I'm so poor! :(

All in all, the "I'm Not a Hipster!" update is Gummy Approved!

More drawings!

I'm really working hard on improving my drawing skills! Now attempting body proportions...they still look a little off but at least I'm trying! O.o

Clearly, I still need to work on hands and feet.... ugh...

Practice Drawings!

Hello world!

Sorry I have been away for a few days! Lately I've been struggling to find any inspiration, but today I realized that I haven't done a lot of drawings for many many years! So, here is what I've come up with. I'm not an artist but one should keep practicing, right?

So, I realize that the girl on the left - her eyes are too far apart...I still need to practice proper facial proportions and shading! HA! >.<

Hopefully, with a lot more practice I will be able to produce the actual image in my head!!! >:D

The Sims 3 Machinima - Pharrell Williams - Happy (+playlist)

I love Machinima and I love Sims! In honor of Friday, enjoy this video I found on YouTube! :P

Food!!!

I have fallen into my rut again...

It's a vicious cycle that consumes me, and I hate that, I'm the one who is supposed be consuming!

My stomach roars for something yummy and extra greasy like KFC or poutine! Instead, mysteriously, I have managed to survive on crackers, water, and rabbit food (aka salad). It's not a terrible thing...I mean, the body needs proper nourishment but I feel like I'm going through a sort of greasy food withdrawal. At least I still have my coffee... boy, it will be an oncoming apocalypse if someone tries to take that away!!!

Whenever I sit down in front of my computer I always get the urge to eat something that's not within my cupboards or lingering on the shelves or drawers in my fridge. "Why don't you just go out and get it then?" A small voice in my head asks as innocently as possible. However, I know the real truth!!! "No, brain! My metabolism might be okay for now, but I need to practice eating more sensibly for when the day comes when anything I eat goes straight to the hips!" Those days are coming...

So, here are some of my own tips to eating snacks while gaming, or working away on your computer.

  1. When sitting for long periods of time, the best thing you can do is keep hydrated. Drink lots of water. Stay away from sugary drinks - this is the hardest thing to do, but if you don't buy it then it will make things easier in the long run. Also, over time, you'll come to dislike those soda pops and sweet sweet juices. This took me months to accomplish.
  2. Got a craving for chips? Try making a plate of grapes, cheese, and crackers. This always worked fine for me...at first I would make really big plates because I have such a big appetite but after awhile, I became more satisfied with lesser quantities.
  3. Feel like something juicy and sweet? Eat strawberries or make a fruit smoothie! My favorite combination of fruits is strawberries, blueberries, banana, and maybe cherries (if there is a good sale on cherries, that is - those things are expensive!)
  4. Other snacks can be a simple veggie plate consisting of cucumber, carrots, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, and/or cauliflower. Just put a small amount of your favorite salad dressing (I happen to like Cesar) in a bowl and bam!
  5. Another simple snack to have around would be any kind of nut or seed or just granola. Walnuts, almonds, peanuts, sunflowers seeds, whatever takes your fancy. I will just go to a bulk food store and stock up!
  6. I recently learned how to make sticky rice!! WEEE, sushi for moi!
Even though it's tough when you're just starting the switch from chips, pop, and sweet snacks, if you keep fighting the urge, eventually your body will begin to appreciate the extra nourishment. You'll soon find that you are less tired and more able to function.  Of course, I don't like to take pop, chips, and chocolate bars or skittles entirely out of my diet. I will incorporate them from time to time as a reward for finishing certain tasks.

Now...the next task on my agenda....learn how to make my own slushies! From gamer to gamer, good luck!

You play the super cute characters Ibb and Obb....and I still have yet to figure out who is who so I've been calling them Pinky and Brain! I hope you enjoy the video, and as always, thanks for watching!

"Full of Life" Texture Pack for Minecraft

I'm loving Minecraft but as I have stated before, it is painful to look at sometimes! ha!

Take this before picture of a castle (work in progress) and compare is to one where a texture pack is used.

You can see that the lines are smoother and less pixelated. Even the rain looks less cartoon-ish and still it retains the same block like signature!~

When it comes to playing this game, I love checking out sites, like Planet Minecraft, to see if there is a new texture pack to make my game look more interesting! In the photo above I am using a texture pack called "Full of Life" which adds a "realistic" feel and therefore satisfying my greedy for graphics eyes.

In previous videos and pictures featured on my blog and YouTube, I have always favored "CubCon's" texture pack but ever since discovering "Full of Life" with its bold colors and beautiful textures for all blocks, I am very pleased. The pack itself is still only 95% complete and I look forward to when everything becomes updated.

So, I'll continue to piece all of the blocks together until I finish my first Castle and with this new texture pack, it's gonna look fantastic!! WEEE!!

DreadOut

Horror games do a really good job of really creeping me out!

DreadOut is no exception...

When I first started to play this game it opened with some "Lady in Red" chanting the creepy tune, "Lingsir Wengi". I had to do some research to find out what that meant and apparently it is some sort of chant to summon a ghost called Kuntilanak. The Lady then moves closer to the screen and suddenly we are transported to real time with our protagonist and her fellow students and teacher.

We don't really know too much about the other people other than their names and personalities.

Ms. Siska: the teacher of the group of students who manages to get lost. She swears she followed her GPS correctly, however, they are lost near an abandoned town.

Linda MelindaThe main character of "DreadOut" who ends up following everyone to a school where most of "Act 1" takes place. When suddenly everyone becomes trapped in, Linda is left all alone to explore and figure out how to get back to the real world!

Shakira Irawat: Also known as Ira, and is Linda's best friend sine childhood. She seems different than everyone and tends to be withdrawn from the group of students. Only on rare occasions does she cut in to interrupt a "hostile" conversation. However, something strange happens to her when they reach the school as she appears to be possessed.

Shelly Angelia: She's very much like the rich "good" girl of the group. Yayaan refers to her as the perky one and teases her about if she die then he would be happy to be haunted by her.

Doni Maulana: Would make a good explorer as he is adventurous and always wanting to check things out. He leads the group towards the abandoned school.

YayaanThe "know-it-all" is someone who would always try to figure things out first. When in the school, he disappears and everyone goes looking for him, that's when everything goes wrong.

When it comes to video games I am a firm believer in giving any game a shot because you just never know when you might find a gem. DreadOut surprised me. My initial thought was how cheesy the dialogue was, and the graphics were okay, but I did keep in mind that it was a indie game. But despite all of its faults, the game play drastically improved as we got to the school. The eerie music started to seep into my bones and suddenly I found myself shaking with adrenaline. It may have similarities to other games, but I really did see the story in this one.

I am now only wondering how the town got this way, and are any of the others still alive? How will it end? Will there be the infamous cliffhangers that most survivor horrors leave behind or will there be a "happy" ending?

Whatever happens, whenever all of the "Acts" are finally released, I am pumped and ready to play them all! It's safe to say, even with it's slow start, that DreadOut is Gummy Approved! DreadOut can be found on Steam.
