Words Unspoken Part 1

So, my eyes are strained from staring at a computer screen all week, and my fingers are freezing due to the ever dropping temperatures in this area.

However, I did manage to finish the first part of Words Unspoken! WEEEeeee....I'm going to hibernate for the rest of the weekend, lol

https://leanpub.com/wordsunspoken <---There's the link, check it out, tell me what you think...keep in mind that this is mostly a first draft. I say mostly because it was edited a bit...just a bit...

Enjoy, share, and comment...it's starting to sound like a YouTube video! Ha ha!

Reimi Keyes-Words Unspoken

My life has been leading up to this very moment, where everything I am becomes tested in the way I write and inspire. I have an unusual story to tell but would you hear it?

From the moment I was born, I have been a lone spirit tried and tested by the evil's of the world. My life is in the hands of the fates but I won't go down without a fight. I am who I am because of a specific set of circumstances and even though I have had my weak moments, I have always pulled through. I will always pull through.

I am alone, but I am not weak. Sometimes I wonder if this is how I was meant to find out about my destiny. About the dark future that awaits me, the harsh choice I would have to make. My brother is going to die or am I going to die? If that's my choice, then let death take me...if only it were that simple, if only my destiny wasn't shaped around the ideal of death and the Reaper that haunts me.

NaNoWriMo 2014 - "Words Unspoken"

It's that time of year when a few people decide to take up the challenge of writing a 50K novel in 30 days!

It doesn't have to be perfect, hell, it can be your very raw first draft. The point of National Novel Writing Month is to write! It's entirely free, and anyone can do it, even if you are from another part of the world. This year, I am participating, and much like in July, I have a mind brimming with ideas.

I haven't really worked on an outline....it might be my downfall but we shall see, who knows what will happen in the course of a month. If you are interested in taking up the challenge, then refer to this site and start writing! I'll see you at the finish line!!!! :D  [ NaNoWriMo:  http://nanowrimo.org/ ]

Curious about my idea? Well, here it is:

A few years back I was creating a Sims 3 machinima series that I came to call, Words Unspoken. It's a dark tale about a young girl who becomes haunted by a grim reaper with whom asks her a life altering question. She has until her 29th birthday to come up with an answer or fate answers for her and the people she is closest to will die. Basically, the story is about love, life, friendship, and responsibility. It follows the young girl and the decisions she makes throughout her life since meeting the reaper.

Well, that's it, that's all...at least for now... If you want to read the story as I go, you can check it out at [ Leanpub: https://leanpub.com/wordsunspoken ]. You don't have to make a purchase to read it, but you can if you want, the pricing system is flexible! As always, thank you for sticking around this corner that no one sees, I'm really grateful that people are interested in what I have to say!

*Side note - I'll be publishing on these dates "Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 21, and Nov. 28" on Leanpub so be sure to check it out and tell me what you think!

**Double side note (lol) - if you're interested in seeing the inspiration for the story it can be found on [YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzsqrl_NXQg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpwFi1H-i58 ] I wasn't able to finish the story because of technical issues so I'll do it in writing instead! xD

Camp National Novel Writing Month July 2014

So, this is the first time that I have participated in a camp version of NaNoWriMo and the novel I chose to write is kind of out of my comfort zone! With a 50,000 word goal in mind I am tentatively writing a Science Fiction or possibly a Thriller/Suspense novel (I'm still unsure of the genre). But, I am a person who loves a good challenge. Let's hope I can make my word goal in time!

Synopsis:

"The Adept" is about a Mainframe computer that was created by humans to help better society. To create a better security system, better computer networks, and a better energy system. However, over the course of a century, this Mainframe begins to gain consciousnesses and its artificial intelligence continues to expand with knowledge about our world and how we live. Not liking the idea of being run by a destructive being, the Mainframe takes action and begins to destroy the systems we have come to rely on. Virtual Reality plays a key role in this story as the Mainframe captures individuals and selects only a few for scientific reasons such as creating an ultimate being to destroy the rest of humanity. Faye is one individual who was originally a professional video gamer who played exceptionally in the virtual environment. Her stats are impressive to the Mainframe and it selects her to become the ultimate being. She undergoes a series of tests and her memories are either "erased" or compressed. After about ten years, she is completely converted and she has gained certain powers controlled by the Mainframe.

The story also follows Faye's husbands point of view as he manages to escape the falling city of Mont Royale. Ren is determined to rescue his wife but slowly loses hope that she is still alive after ten years of captivity. It's not until he joins a military faction and goes on missions that he realizes some hope for her.

Eventually, Faye, now known as Emrys, and Ren cross paths. She bears no recollection of him and is indifferent to human emotion. Their first encounter will be when she seemingly escapes the captivity of the Mainframe, however, her goal is to destroy Ren's colony. As Ren brings Faye back to the colony he soon realizes his mistake and a battle ensues to bring her down.

Narrowly escaping Emrys' wrath, Ren still clings to the hope that Faye is still alive and seeks out the help from a scientist who "helped" her escape. Doctor Kingston does come up with a way to free her but it involves going deep into the Mainframe. With limited people left, Ren and his crew prepare for a last stand and push forward to the Mainframe.

The doctor must get close enough to the Mainframe system core but it will not make it easy. The Mainframe, dwells deep beneath the surface of the city with many levels of security and robotics of every kind on the lookout. Eventually, Ren and the doctor manage to get to the Mainframe and Emrys is waiting for them. They find out that her mind is merging with the Mainframe and a great battle ensues. She is quick, highly skilled, and agile. As the doctor works on disabling the system Ren distracts Emrys.

After a grueling battle, Ren manages to see Faye breaking loose from the captivity in her mind. The Mainframe is weakening as Faye starts to come to herself. However, she can not fully recover, but the doctor's plan does work and the Mainframe fails. The bond between the Mainframe and Faye begins to deteriorate as Ren gets closer to her and the core system falls apart.

As everything is falling around them, Ren screams out to the doctor to escape, Faye has fallen unconscious and Ren refuses to leave her. The doctor begins to run but it's too late. The building comes crashing down on them. After everything settles, we see the doctor open his eyes at the debris. He makes his way to Ren and Faye, where Ren used his body to protect her from the debris. They appear to be dead and then they both open their eyes.

In the end, everything seemingly reverts back to normal with the human race rebuilding society. Ren and Faye are together again, and the Doctor uses his knowledge to teach the next generation. In an short epilogue, we see Faye's eyes change slightly as she becomes Emrys again and we realize that the Mainframe still exists in her. "Like every living thing, we cling to survival."

So, that's about it! Hopefully, I can continue to write the story and it turns out better than I expected. In a month, who knows what will happen.
